The flagship of the LD Systems amplifier series is called the LD PA 1600-X. In an attempt to fulfil the wishes of our customers, we have extended the LD range to include a more powerful amplifier that can also be used with a 2 Ω output.
The important features are: 2×1100 W in 4 Ω and 2×780 W in 8 Ω.
Like the smaller models, the PA 1600-X uses a class H configuration with bi-polar transistors and aconventional power supply. The circuit protection is identical to the LD PA 1000. The cooling fan is also temperature controlled in two stages.
Special features include a low-cut filter and a switchable lo-pass filter adjustable up to 1200 Hz, so that the amplifier can be used as a sub-bass driver without the necessity of a separate crossover.
