The column’s passive cardioid design is a unique feature of the MAUI® G3. Thanks to its exclusive design, the column offers true cardioid dispersion characteristics and provides an attenuation of 18 dB towards the rear.
Simply place the additional subwoofer as a “FOLLOWER” subwoofer next to your “MAIN” system pointing towards the audience to amplify the bass response by +6 dB. You want to create a cardioid subwoofer set-up? No problem. Simply rotate the subwoofer 180° and activate the cardioid setting on the back of the subwoofer. A lower bass level of –15 dB towards the rear lets you greatly reduce the risk of feedback, listening fatigue, and phase cancellations. The subwoofer uses automatic column detection and automatically activates “FOLLOWER” mode when the column is removed and adjusts the DSP settings accordingly.
You no longer need a mixer with the MAUI® G3 Mix versions. The digital six-channel mixer offers you a wide range of options thanks to mic / Hi-Z / line inputs. This means that you can connect microphones, guitars, basses, keyboards, and various players directly and mix and filter the signals. The number of analogue inputs available is doubled by connecting two MAUI® G3 MIX systems via SysLink® to create a stereo set-up. Of course, direct streaming via Bluetooth® is also available.
Remote control your mix! Get all the settings available to you for the MAUI® G3 MIX on your smartphone or tablet. The user-friendly display of the MAUI® G3 MIX app lets you have your mix under control at all times. Easy mode is perfect for a fast start: with preconfigured presets and simple customisation options, you can get started straight away. If you want to delve deeper into your sound, Expert mode offers advanced functions, from detailed filtering to the precise control of attack, and a compressor for each channel.
Thanks to the line array arrangement and the integrated waveguides on the mid-range speakers, the so-called phase plugs, the MAUI® G3 offers a very wide and constant horizontal dispersion of 120°. The new waveguide offers a narrow and precise vertical dispersion of 30°. This ensures that the high frequencies reach the front row of your audience just as effectively as the back of the venue.

The 2-piece passive column of MAUI G3 has been reworked entirely and refined in many aspects. A unique feature of the new column is its passive cardioid design offering controlled low-mid and midrange sound dispersion.
Thanks to its exclusive design the column offers real cardioid dispersion characteristics and provides an 18 dB attenuation to the rear between 100 Hz and 1 kHz.
The cardioid behaviour of the column is made possible by a clever use of acoustic dampening foam behind the tweeters and mid woofers within the column itself and by precise cutouts within the column aluminium housing.
With an additional subwoofer you can create a cardioid setup. Simply rotate the follower subwoofer 180°, and activate the cardioid setup on the back of the sub.
With -15 dB bass attenuation to the rear you reduce the risks of feedback, hearing fatigue and phase cancellations significantly
The cardioid setup also has the nice side effect to enhance the low-end response of 2 to 3 dB towards the audience. More bass right where you need it. And not anyhwere else.

Automatic column detection
With the automatic column detection, the subwoofer automatically enables the "FOLLOWER" mode when the column is removed and adapts the DSP settings accordingly.
All MAUI® systems can be set up very quickly and without a stand or connecting cable to the column thanks to the plug-in column connections. The MAUI® stereo set-up only requires power and two audio cables (XLR or 6.3 mm jack), which simplifies and elevates installation.
Add an additional subwoofer, press the “Cardioid” button, done! A lower bass level of –15 dB towards the rear lets you greatly reduce the risk of feedback, listening fatigue, and phase cancellations. Cardioid positioning also has the pleasant side effect of amplifying the bass response by 2 to 3 dB towards the audience. More bass exactly where you need it and nowhere else.
Double subwoofer, double bass. Use a second subwoofer to boost the bass response by +6 dB.
The subwoofer is easy to carry thanks to four integrated, ergonomic and generously sized handles. One handle on the top, one on the bottom and one on each side.
The columns also feature hidden handles in the caps that allow for a good grip when building the system up and back down.
MAUI G3 should follow you anywhere you go, which is why we offer optional transport accessories such as a cover for the subwoofer, a shoulder bag for the columns as well as a castor board allowing you to roll your system into the venue without breaking a sweat.
