LD Systems ICOA at the JetPower Air Show
Model jets in the air, technical discussions in the exhibition tent and spectators right on the flight line – at JetPower 2026 in Breitscheid, the air show and model-making exhibition attracted a highly interested audience. In terms of the sound for the three-day event, the presenters’ voices and music needed to remain intelligible over long distances of several hundred metres and amidst high levels of ambient noise. For this purpose, JB Turnier- und Veranstaltungstechnik relied on a total of 22 LD Systems ICOA 12 full-range speakers paired with matching DSP power amplifiers.
The sound system for the JetPower air show and trade fair covered a 200-metre-long exhibition tent with more than 100 stands as well as the approximately 300-metre-long spectator area along the model aircraft flight line. JB Turnier- und Veranstaltungstechnik, led by owner Jens Bertelsmeier, was also responsible for the planning and implementation of the electricity infrastructure across the entire site, which also included a catering area and a campsite for up to 280 camper vans.

ICOA 12 for speech, background music and show elements
JB Turnier- und Veranstaltungstechnik positioned the ICOA 12 along the spectator area at 15-metre intervals, with a maximum distance of five metres from the audience. The passive coaxial PA speakers are powered by LD Systems DSP 44 K 4-channel DSP power amplifiers configured with the corresponding ICOA 12 presets. For Jens Bertelsmeier, the ICOA 12s are the ideal solution for outdoor sound systems, such as at JetPower: “The ICOA always provide excellent speech intelligibility even in high levels of ambient noise – whether at model aircraft flying events or autocross.”
In addition to the presenters’ voices and background music, the ICOA sound system at JetPower 2026 also had to be capable of supporting the musical elements of the show. This year, an electric guitarist performed music from the original Top Gun soundtrack live as the legendary F-14 Tomcat jets took to the skies.

A wide range of applications
JetPower was just one of five events taking place at the same time this weekend, and JB Turnier- und Veranstaltungstechnik deployed its entire inventory of 64 ICOA 12 across all of these events: in addition to JetPower, the coaxial speakers were also deployed at three equestrian events and an autocross race. For Bertelsmeier, the decision to rely primarily on the ICOA series comes down to practical considerations: “We are very satisfied with the handling, durability, quality and price-performance ratio of the ICOA 12. Furthermore, the 12" full-range speakers, unlike the 100V ELA technology used by many of our competitors, create a special atmosphere during show programmes and award ceremonies.”

Modern sound in a history-filled setting
Once a year, the historic old town of Alcúdia in Mallorca is transformed into a journey back into the ancient past: at Festa Romana, Roman-inspired market stands, crafts, parades and shows are complemented by an extensive music programme. For more than two decades, this open-air event has been one of the fixtures on the town’s calendar of events. In 2026, the festival was organised on a much larger scale and comprised three stages in total. The Mallorcan event technology service provider Modul Sound was responsible for one of these stages and used an LD Systems MAILA XXL system for the sound. The other stage was set-up by Alcudia Luz, and they have trusted in MAILA XXL too.
From dinner to the dance floor:
Just 20 minutes from Paris, La Maison Louveciennes unites French gastronomy with a versatile event concept. The restaurant, lounge, and bar combined with a terrace and seasonal beach area not only changes atmosphere throughout the day, but also places different demands on sound and lighting. The French service provider KFL Integration developed a permanent audio and lighting solution for La Maison using products from LD Systems and Cameo as well as QUESTRA as a central control platform. The concept’s flexibility was exhibited at the latest Fête de la Musique: for the live event, which is known nationwide, the permanent installation was enhanced with an additional sound system and show-lighting set-up.
MAXIMUM Copenhagen: audio and lighting for Denmark’s new interactive experience
If an entertainment centre is called MAXIMUM, it really ought to have plenty to offer its guests. And the operators of Denmark’s largest indoor theme park chain have been following this principle for many years: bowling, laser games, escape rooms, restaurants and much more offer a wide variety of entertainment for young and old alike – and since 2026 it has, at long last, also had a presence in the capital Copenhagen. The Danish integrator Profox has been responsible for the planning and installation of AVL technology at the various sites for several years. At MAXIMUM in Copenhagen, the company relied, amongst other things, on audio and lighting solutions from LD Systems and Cameo.

A grand finale, discreet technology – LD Systems and Cameo in the hospitality areas for Europe’s football elite
When Europe’s two best club teams meet to compete for the most prestigious trophy in European club football, it’s not just the on-pitch proceedings that have to run perfectly. Behind the scenes, it is also essential to provide thousands of guests in the various hospitality areas with a first-class experience. For the dramatic 2026 final at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, several exclusive VIP areas were equipped with audio and lighting technology from LD Systems and Cameo. The Hungarian full-service provider MD Rental was responsible for the technical planning, integration and on-site operation. At the heart of the project was the LD Systems QUESTRA platform, which controlled all audio areas efficiently and almost invisibly in the background.

Welcome to Wrexham – QUESTRA manages Audio, Video and Lighting at Tŷ Pawb
The Disney+ series ‘Welcome to Wrexham’, documenting the miraculous rise of Wrexham AFC, has made this small Welsh town world-famous. However, Wrexham has far more to offer than just football and some famous supporters from Hollywood. In 2018, Tŷ Pawb opened as a modern, multi-purpose and multi-award-winning venue that brings together galleries, concerts, dining and local retailers in an open, vibrant setting. To meet the complex AV technical requirements for Tŷ Pawb’s wide range of uses, the AV integrator responsible, ORB Sound & Lighting, opted for an integrated audio, video and lighting control system based on the LD Systems QUESTRA platform.
Modern audio technology at the university
Whether it’s an info event, a panel discussion, a public lecture or an exam – the event hall at HFT Stuttgart (University of Applied Sciences) is used throughout the year for a wide variety of events. Consequently, the demands placed on the sound system in the approximately 240 m² hall, which can accommodate around 350 people across two levels, are correspondingly high. As the existing equipment was becoming increasingly outdated, HFT Stuttgart decided to modernise its media technology in stages. For the new sound system, the integrator responsible, PPM Stuttgart, opted for a discreet yet flexible system based on the compact LD Systems CURV 500 array system.
Two theatres, two trades, one portfolio
Whether it’s a state-of-the-art, newly built in-the-round theatre or a historic cultural centre with decades of history, theatres are among the most versatile venue types of all. This technical and artistic range is also embodied by two recently completed theatre installations in England, which were implemented using solutions from the Adam Hall Integrated Systems portfolio: while the newly opened Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre in the London district of the same name uses audio solutions from LD Systems, the time-honoured The Coro in Ulverston has employed lights and signal distributors from Cameo to modernise its lighting technology.
