FastRig® MECHANISM

Tool-free rigging between subwoofers and the flying frame.

FastRig® is built into MAILA SUB 15 F (P) and requires both hands to unlock. Slide both latches apart and the left latch will remain held open, allowing you to rotate the rigging bar of the below subwoofer into position. Releasing the right latch locks the connection automatically as a pin engages through the rigging bar.

Unlocking requires both hands again: slide the latches apart and the pin retracts, releasing the rigging bar.

SAT X – 8° or 40°

SAT X is a passive hybrid satellite that combines point-source behaviour with true line-array operation.

Depending on how it’s used, it automatically switches its vertical dispersion: 40° for wide nearfill coverage when used standalone, or a tight 8° characteristic in a MAILA array. The mode switch happens automatically as soon as another satellite is mounted via SmartLink+®.

FLEXIBLE SET-UPS

A modular system that scales with the job.

MAILA’s modular design lets you combine satellites, columns and subs in flown or ground-stacked configurations, and add nearfill coverage where needed.
The venue plan usually dictates the build. For example:

4 × SAT X as nearfill for the front rows
6 × SUB 15 F as flown subs when there’s no floor space
1 × SUB + 1 × COL + 6 × SAT as a compact ground stack
1 × COL + 8 × SAT as a flown array when sightlines and vertical control matter
1 × COL + 8 × SAT flown beneath 3 × SUB 15 F in a 2+1 cardioid configuration, for a combined flown set-up when both floor space and truss space are limited

These are just a few examples.
With MAILA’s modular approach, you can tailor the set-up to the application at hand, from smaller to larger stages, while adapting to the constraints of each venue within a single system.

APP & ArmoníaPlus

Quick setup for active and passive systems.

For active systems, the free MAILA app (iPadOS) lets you pre-plan your setup with a simple drag-and-drop stage view. Room Simulation then calculates the required SAT splay angles and applies the matching EQ automatically. On site, simply connect via LogoLink® to sync the settings with the detected components and fine-tune everything in real time.

For passive systems powered by ADA amplifiers, the MAILA 'Quick Setup App' has been converted into ArmoníaPlus presets, including splay angles, rigging height, and pick-up points. With over 70 manufacturer EQs covering almost 300 MAILA configurations, you start from a proven baseline and only adjust what the room actually needs on site.

EasySplay® MECHANISM

Adjust the splay angle with one hand, even under load.

EasySplay® is the built-in splay mechanism in every SAT, offering continuous 0°–8° adjustment via a rotating handle. Each satellite can be easily adjusted with one hand, whether during setup or when the system is already flying.

SMARTLINK+® CONNECTION

Connect and rig satellites with a secure, cable-free connection.

SmartLink+® uses aluminium rails with integrated contacts. These carry the amplified audio signal between SAT modules and to the SPA, COL or SAT X. The simple slide-together mechanism combines mechanical connection and signal routing in one step. Active components detect the installed satellites, enabling automatic or manual DSP processing.

MAILA EASYMOUNT+®

Easy truss or shackle mounting with accurate aiming.

EasyMount+® is MAILA’s dedicated truss rigging hardware for SAT X, SPA and COL. Its click-on, tool-less design supports safe handling while enabling hassle-free, precise alignment of the line array.

Once flown, EasyMount+® supports full 360° rotation for straightforward alignment, even under load. Down-tilt is set via multiple pick-up points (15 positions) so you can hit the required aiming quickly and repeatably. In the MAILA app or in ArmoníaPlus, the correct pick-up point is part of the configuration guidance, so you can go straight to the right one without trial and error.

The EasyMount+ can be equipped with a maximum of 1 × COL + 8 × SAT.

Built for fast load-ins and repeatable set-ups. MAILA delivers powerful, clear audio for concert audiences in venues with tight schedules, limited rigging options and sightline constraints.

With its slim, flexible design and high speech clarity, MAILA is a major advantage in corporate event production, covering everything from small meetings to large corporate presentations.

THEATRES

Clear sightlines and controlled coverage are essential in theatres. MAILA allows precise vertical control across stalls, balconies and under-balcony areas, delivering natural voicing and strong dynamic detail for dialogue, orchestra and FX.

FIXED INSTALLATIONS

Its cable-free design, compact footprint and flexible mounting/rigging options make it ideal for discreet permanent installations where uniform coverage is required.

MAILA^® SAT

Passive Array Satellite Speaker

MAILA SAT is a true line array element and is full of surprises. The elegant and robust unibody aluminium enclosure includes five 1" tweeters in front of a 6.5" midrange driver in front of a passive membrane, arranged in a coaxial design based on advanced WaveAhead® technology and coupled almost interference-free via the SonicGuide® (two combined waveguides). The result is a classic line array radiation pattern with impressive throw and energy density.

MAILA^® SAT X

Passive Nearfill or Array Satellite Speaker

MAILA SAT X is a hybrid satellite combining a point-source speaker and a true line array element. Depending on the application, it automatically adapts its vertical dispersion to provide either 40° near-fill coverage or a 8° array characteristic when used with MAILA SAT. Its compact, robust, unibody aluminium enclosure houses the same acoustic components as MAILA SAT.

SpeakON® connectors enable clean, efficient daisy-chaining of multiple SAT X units, while SmartLink+® provides tool-less, cable-free connection of multiple MAILA SAT satellites.

MAILA^® SPA

Power Amplifier for Up to Eight Satellites

MAILA SPA is the only MAILA module without integrated loudspeakers – and yet an integral part of the MAILA concept. This amplifier module in elegant unibody aluminium design with integrated 1.25 kW power amplifier features LD Systems' SysCore® DSP and can power up to eight MAILA SAT satellites. Via the SmartLink+® system, the satellites can be simply slid onto the SPA and cable-free supplied with the amplified audio signal. In addition, SmartLink+® enables automatic detection of the installed satellites for automatic or manual DSP processing.

MAILA^® COL (P)

4 × 6.5" Column Speaker

MAILA COL and MAILA COL P full-range column modules add authority in the crucial low-mid band while keeping the overall look visually discreet. With four 6.5" woofers in an elegant unibody aluminium enclosure, the column module integrates naturally into both ground-stacked and flown setups. It also forms a clean system base for MAILA SAT satellites, which can be mounted directly to the column for fast, tidy builds.

The MAILA COL includes an integrated 4-channel DSP amplifier with 2.5 kW total power, driving the column itself and up to eight MAILA SAT satellites for a streamlined, self-contained system approach.

MAILA^® SUB 15 (F) (P)

15" Bass Reflex PA Subwoofer

The SUB 15 is a high-power 1 × 15" bass reflex subwoofer with a compact footprint, delivering impressive deep bass performance for both mobile use and fixed installations. It supports scalable deployment options – from ground stacks (up to three units) to flown sub arrays (up to six units). A docking plate enables clean integration with pole (M20) or MAILA COL setups. The range includes active, passive (P) and flyable (F) variants.

MAILA^® SUB (P)

2 × 15" Bandpass PA Subwoofer

MAILA SUB and MAILA SUB P form the basis of larger MAILA system configurations. The 2 × 15" high-performance subwoofer features a bandpass design and delivers a massive, powerful bass foundation for any application. The acoustic concept is based on a planar wave bandpass design with a quarter-wave horn and symmetrical driver construction. By placing the two 15" speakers opposite to each other, MAILA SUB enables exceptional impulse compensation, resulting in a powerful and precise low-frequency punch.

The MAILA SUB includes an integrated 2.5 kW amplifier with SysCore® DSP, providing the processing and control needed for high-output performance in demanding applications.

MAILA® SETUP EXAMPLES

MAILA® APP

The MAILA app for iPadOS is designed to make setup as easy as possible on the job. Plan and prepare your setup in advance: drag and drop the required modules into the virtual stage grid, enter the venue and audience details, and let room simulation calculate the required SAT angles while automatically applying the matching EQ.

On site, simply connect your active modules to the app and apply your saved settings – done.

ROOM SIMULATION

Automatically calculates the required SAT splay angles and applies the matching EQ based on room length and the installation height of the satellite array.

PRE PLANNING

Use the app without any connected modules: build your stage, enter key parameters, and prepare the full setup in advance.

10 BAND EQ PRESETS

Fully parametric 10-band EQ with storable presets.

DELAY LINES

Automatically calculates delay settings based on distance to the main PA, room temperature and more.

FOR PASSIVE SYSTEMS

For passive MAILA systems, ADA amplifiers in combination with ArmoníaPlus provide a structured, repeatable setup workflow. We have transferred the MAILA Quick Setup approach into ArmoníaPlus by creating dedicated manufacturer EQs (MEQ) and presets for 250+ MAILA configurations.

Select your MAILA configuration and receive the key setup guidance you need—such as pick-up points and satellite curving. The selected configuration includes the required compensation for loudspeaker coupling and air loss over distance, providing a reliable starting point.

ArmoníaPlus supports our Wink-LED identification for passive MAILA components and offers further tuning options, including live Smaart integration, plus valuable insight into system health and available headroom.
